If you’re looking fun spring-time activities between dance classes, head over just down the street to Post Street Farm and see the beautiful ranunculus flowers! Grab some for Mother’s Day, which is this weekend. We’re so lucky to have our dance studio right near this fantastic farm. While they offer a variety of pumpkins in the fall, they have the most beautiful flowers in the spring. If you’re near the studio, go check them out! (And bring us some flowers, too!)
Visit Harvey West Park

As the weather warms up, it’s the perfect time to head to the park! Harvey West offers trails, picnic areas, playgrounds, pools, and more—and it’s just down the street from IAD! Free (and dog friendly), Harvey West is one of the best things to do near the studio in the spring time. Take your lunch between classes, or pop over there before or after your dance class for a breath of fresh air. Great for bike-riding as well!

Just down the street is the famous Tannery Art Center! This thriving artist-utopia is a great place for seasonal shows, fairs, and activities, so be sure to check out their schedule of workshops and classes. This weekend, there will be a Spring Art Market on Saturday, May 13th from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM. Featuring 40+ vendors, open art studios, live music, and food, it’s not to be missed!
