Forever in our Hearts
Miss Bee, born as Bridget Smith, danced at IAD as a young student and went on to teach at IAD for almost a decade.
She was a wonderful student, an incredible teacher, a beautiful performer and amazing friend. Her smile beamed brightly on and off the stage and her love of dance was infectious!
Miss Bee danced in many Nutcrackers in every role from Toy Soldier to Snow Queen. She also enchanted audiences in many June Productions as a performer, choreographer, and backstage Super Hero. Miss Bee brought care & joy to everything she touched.
She leaves behind a trail of diamonds & sparkles.
Miss Bee touched everyone she met with with her magic from the tiniest dancers to adults. She saw each dancer as the special person that they are and shared her gifts mightily.
She will be missed beyond words…
There is a hole that only infinite love pouring in can fill. May we each continue to pour our love into one another and carry her spirit with us in the studio and in our hearts.
Miss Bee, may you dance into Infinity on the sparkles of your dreams! Maybe we’ll find you in the next rainbow, or see you on a unicorn, or flying with hummingbirds…‘til we dance again!

You will forever be in our hearts.

Celebration of Life – 3/8
We had an incredible celebration of life on March 8th, 2025. So many people in the community, young and old, came together and shared memories of Bee. We are so lucky to have this community, and to have had Bee in our lives.
