The audition came and went, and the cast list has been posted. Our first rehearsals will begin this weekend! We couldn’t be more excited to kick off another magical Nutcracker season! What’s new this year? Just read on to find out!
Two new roles!
This year we have the biggest cast and crew that we’ve had ever. With more than 125 dancers, and two brand new roles, we couldn’t be more thrilled. To expand on that—this year, we’re adding two whole new roles! They’ll be unique to just our Nutcracker, so be sure not to miss it at the Cabrillo Crocker theater on December 21st and 22nd, 2024.
Our staff and volunteers have been hard at work choreographing for the new roles, and making costumes for them as well. Can you imagine the logistical feat that is moving around costumes for 125 dancers? So much work goes into this production—you can see the timeline of how the Nutcracker is developed year-round!
Meet the Cast!
We are planning a new Social Media push for this Nutcracker season, involving our dancers old and new! Have you ever wanted to see behind the scenes? Have you ever wondered how long a dancer has been dancing, or even in that role in particular? Stay tuned for the magic this year, and follow our socials: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok.
New Staff!
While the Nutcracker’s tale is timeless, we have a couple new faces behind the scenes! Our esteemed teachers Shayla Hill and Hope Jamieson will be helping with rehearsals. We couldn’t be more excited to have them on board this year. If you’d like to support the Nutcracker and run an Ad in our program or become a donor, please see our Advertising Page or contact us!
